Role Summary
This Senior Aircraft Appearance Specialist is a subject matter expert in ensuring aircraft appearance standards and objectives are consistently maintained on a system basis for Alaska Airlines (AS), Horizon Air (QX), and Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA) operations. As an individual contributor, this role analyzes performance and works with station leadership and vendors to implement corrective actions and provide appropriate recognition.
Key Duties

Act as a subject matter expert in Airport Services, Policy, Procedure & Training and assist as needed in the implementation of new policy and support new station openings and/or vendor changes.

Make recommendations to airport operations leadership and contract cleaning vendors as the principal Fleet Service consultant.

Develop solutions to ensure compliance and assist local leadership in improving performance, including conducting regular station visits and station conference calls.

Analyze quality assurance data, track trends and identify station performance patterns, report results, and recommend improvements as needed.

Communicate frequently with station and regional management to collect compliance data and implement improvement plans; conduct follow-up checks on actions as required.

Influence cross-functionally and partner/build relationships with other operational teams within AS and QX, such as Customer Service Airports, Maintenance & Engineering, Flight Operations, Inflight, IT, Marketing and Food & Beverage to ensure effective alignment and collaboration within Airport Operations & Customer Service (AOCS) and its aircraft appearance efforts.

Maintain a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging and seeking out feedback and suggestions, monitor industry best practices, and develop and implement process improvement tools and techniques.

Determine an effective approach for monitoring aircraft cabin supplies and inventory levels in all locations and coordinate distribution of all stock as needed; act as the primary point person for all aircraft inventory exchanges; resolve any Not-In-Stock events.

Partner with Onboard Product team to support the Air Group seat back collateral program. Ensure inventory is accurately exchanged and distributed in a timley manner.

Evaluate and respond to inflight summary and cabin appearance reports made by crews and customers.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
-
4 years of airline operations experience.

A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in business administration or a related discipline, or an additional 2 years of experience in lieu of this degree.

Demonstrated track record of effectively leading/working with cross-functional teams, driving meaningful changes, and developing and mentoring others.

Sound, strategic thinker with a track record of demonstrating analytic capability, strong business acumen, and executing plans with a sense of urgency and a mind for safety.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum age of 18.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred

2 years of fleet service/aircraft appearance or quality assurance experience.

Experience managing vendor contracts and performance.

Strong interpersonal skills facilitating effective verbal and written communication at all levels in the organization.

Demonstrated ease in breaking down complex concepts and ideas into more manageable tasks and goals.

Salary Range
$78,200 -- $117,400 / year
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
