National Jet Systems (NJS) is part of the Qantas group and plays an important role in connecting communities and industries. Our fleet consists of twenty Boeing 717 aircraft, operating regular services to capital cities, regional centres and leisure destinations. The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for meeting the day-to-day operational demand, supply and planning for all expendable parts, rotables and tooling supporting the National Jet Systems (NJS) fleet. It is focused on achieving on-time and cost-effective supply of components for the fleet to meet Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), ongoing airworthiness and operational availability requirements. The role will develop part demand forecasts, supply planning, inventory optimisation, order recommendations independently to meet the requirements of the flying network and maintenance schedules, including support for recovery of Aircraft On Ground (AOG) and regulatory mandated Airworthiness Directives (AD). It will responsible in providing ongoing communication and updates between stakeholders including Maintenance Watch, Maintenance Bases and various departments within the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) - Engineering Fleet Management for both existing and potential fleets. You’ll have – Qualifications in Engineering/Logistics or experience in Logistics and or Inventory Management Demonstrated understanding of Group Procurement and Finance policies Ability to think across multiple dimensions and link to financial outcomes Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong process focus Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail Above average computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word etc.) Why Qantas?
