Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVE SOME FABRICATION EXPERIENCE:
Arrowhead is looking for candidates that have more experience than just removal & installation or drilling & riveting.
Arrowhead wants candidates that have built parts from scratch. This means they have taken a piece of metal and shaped, formed, bent, cut, sheared (maybe even welded) that piece, and turned into a component or usable part.
For example: Someone that we placed previously, had experience with custom fabrication in automotive, by building roll cages, suspension, chassis, mounts and casing units from flat sheet or tube stock. So he’s actually built cars and car parts rather than simply being a mechanic by removing old parts and replacing them with new ones.
• HS Diploma or its equivalent; previous experience may be substituted for education requirement.
• Able to make parts from blueprints.
• Must be familiar with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, mallets, etc.
• Must have knowledge of aluminum and stainless steel with respect to aircraft standards on surface condition and finish.
• Must be able to use normal precision measuring instruments (Calipers, Micrometers, Pin Gauge, Height Gauge)
• Must have two (2) years of experience on aircraft or other sheet metal work of similar quality standards. (Automotive industry is OK too)
