Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Test Engineer III in Lynnwood, WA . This position is key to the Research & Technology within our Modular Power Solution s Engineering Team. Position Overview: Reporting to the site Test Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer is responsible for developing, executing and analyzing high performance test equipment for the purposes of testing leading edge products. Our ideal candidate will have experience with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534. Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with customers and engineers to establish/clarify test, qualification, verification and validation requirements. Write test plans, procedures and reports based on military and commercial aerospace test standards such as MIL-STD-883 and MIL-STD-38534. Identify test equipment hardware and software solutions that meet customer requirements. Design, develop, debug, validate & verify and oversee the fabrication of manual and automated test equipment that supports the test and project plan. Develop, maintain all documentation including schematics, software documentation, and configuration control of deliverables. Minimum Qualifications: Education : Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline. Experience : Five (5) or more years of relevant experience as an Electrical Test Engineer. Work experience with highly reliable space and mil-std products highly desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Expert knowledge of and experience with the following: Test methods for power supplies and filters Automated Test Equipment (ATE) system design ATE software using C# and Visual Basic. C++ is a plus. COTS (commercial off the shelf) equipment setup and programming Analog and digital circuit design Data analysis and modeling capability CAD tools – Altium and Autodesk Inventor preferred Mechanical fixture design Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
