Position Title: Accountant Staff Revenue Accounting (Loyalty)

Position Summary
The Staff Accountant assists in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of JetBlue’s internal and external reporting by recording and reconciling assigned financial activity, specifically for loyalty revenue streams.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accounting of loyalty revenue streams as well as gift cards, reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and resolve any reconciling items on a timely basis
- Assist with the testing of accounting systems (specifically Comarch) to ensure accurate accounting and reporting
- Ensure internal controls are effectively maintained for revenue related areas
- Contribute to the set up and tracking of new revenue sources and initiatives
- Support Manager and Senior Accountant on special projects as needed
- Support internal and external audits
- Interface with internal and external customers, including crewmembers, independent auditors, and business partners
- Assist with forecasting
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience
- One (1) year of accounting experience
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel knowledge
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
- Public Accounting and/or Large Private/Public Company experience
- Familiarity with SAP or other financial systems
- Previous Airline experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $58,500.00 and $89,600.00 per year..
