Position Title: Analyst Financial Systems

Position Summary
The Analyst plays the lead role in supporting the Revenue Accounting team in their data analysis and reporting needs. In addition, the Analyst coordinates with Accounting, IT, and external business partners on data and database related efforts and works to create efficiencies in operational processes.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist Revenue Accounting team with month-end financial close responsibilities
- Develops custom queries utilizing SQL in the Snowflake data warehouse (DW) and BI tools
- Develops reports in BI tools to deliver data automatically to team members
- Provides information from DW queries to team members on an ad-hoc or recurring basis and ensures efficiency of data integrity of DW data, query results, and deliverables authored DW queries
- Continually coordinates with team members to understand data needs and creates new reports and improves existing reporting as business needs evolve
- Coordinates with Accounting, IT, and business partners on data requirements, data modeling, and data structure design to improve DW data relevance and enhance DW performance
- Assists with the implementation and testing of system upgrades from a data perspective
- Helps create detailed test cases and test plans, assists with testing automation, and validates test results
- Analyzes and documents business procedures and requirements and provides input on how to create efficiencies in new or existing operational processes
- Develops excel macros to create efficiencies in operational processes where appropriate
- Assists Managers and Directors with data-driven or technical projects as required
- Assists other business units as required.
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Finance, Business, Accounting or related area; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- One (1) year of experience with accounting & finance data and/or management information systems
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
- Strong knowledge of report development
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and relevant transactional data
- Must pass pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of report development, Snowflake, Tableau, or other BI tools
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel knowledge, and some knowledge of or strong willingness to learn Power Query and/or VBA/macro development
- Experience with Management Information Systems (MIS) or other relevant work experience
- Experience with one or more BI tools
- Strong knowledge of ETL techniques and corresponding tools such as dbt
- Familiarity with SAP or other financial systems
- Previous Airline experience

- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation: - The base pay range for this position is between $50,000.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
