Security Guard

Special Note

This position will be on the rolls of Action Hospitality- a group company of Air Arabia group. 

Job Purpose

To protect the company’s property, assets and personnel by maintaining a secure environment. He/she shall maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions.

Key Result Responsibilities

• Acts lawfully in direct defence of life and company’s property by maintaining a safe and secure environment in accordance with supervisor’s instructions and company’s policies and procedures. 
• Patrols randomly or regularly company premises and perimeter (gates, doors, windows, parking, etc.) to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security. 
• Monitors and controls access of employees, visitors and vehicles at building entrances, accommodation and vehicle gates to guard against theft or malpractice. 
• Reports in detail any suspicious incidents or unusual occurrences.  
• Takes accurate note of any findings or irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons or suspicious objects. 
• Initiate calls to police or fire department in cases of emergency such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. 
• Warns persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises. 
• Monitors alarm systems and/or CCTV cameras at designated areas and operates detecting/emergency equipment.  
• Inspects and adjusts security systems, equipment and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering. 
• Monitors and adjusts controls that regulates building systems, such as air conditioning furnace or boilers. 
• Performs first aid or CPR when needed, given he/she is qualified for this. 
• Handles telephone calls to take messages, answer queries and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed. 
• Escorts individuals to specific locations/destinations as required by the management. 
• Executes any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager. 

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

• High School or Diploma in any stream is acceptable. 
• Related trainings such as Emergency Response Compatibility and First Aid are considered a plus. 
• License in security PSBD: Private Security Business Department is a plus.
• Demonstrates confident personality and positive attitude all times. 
• Well groomed and organized. 
• Dynamic and physically fit for the job, requires frequent movement. 
• Capable of operating office machines and computer when needed. 
• Good English Language (written and spoken: should be able to write an incident report). 
• Fluency in Arabic language is a plus

Work Experience

• 1-2 years of similar experience in any security company in any industry would be an advantage. 
• Willing to work on shift pattern (24/7) and long working hours.
