Job Designation
The Inventory Lead verifies and maintains records on routine incoming and outgoing shipments. Ships and receives merchandise or material and arranges the transportation of goods, while following policies, procedures and safety regulations.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle, following company instructions
- Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules
- Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
- Develops specifications for new contract orders
- Places purchase orders for the supply of product and plans materials that are required to meet order book
- Monitors and Coordinates all asset tracking, purchasing and inventory control
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications
Education : A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications : Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience : 3 years or more of relevant experience depending on the complexity level of the job
Skills :
- Ability to work with general instructions on routine work
- Able to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Skilled at multi-tasking
