We are looking for a Country Referent for procurement. Within the Procurement organisation at Thales Alenia Space, this person is responsible for managing all the needs for purchasing at TAS in Spain and is the local referent for the procurement team members. She/he is the primary Procurement interface for TAS in Spain. Furthermore, he/she is Bid/Project/Product Procurement manager (PPM) senior team leader for complex systems (complete systems, payloads, instruments…), interfacing with the bids and projects teams and coordinating teams of buyers, which might be located in other locations, to cover the corresponding purchasing needs. The team of procurement specialists located at TAS in Spain is composed of Category Buyers, Bids/Projects/Product Procurement managers, Supply Performance managers, Execution Performance Managers (= Subcontractor Managers) and Process and tools experts. She / he is member of the international team of Thales Alenia Space Procurement Managers and is member of the Operational Committee of TAS in Spain. The type of purchases covered go from complex systems for Space applications, from flight and ground segments, and related fields, up to EEE parts and mechanical components, General Procurement purchases (utilities, measurement instruments…) and Intellectual services subcontracting (SW, design…). The PPM Senior Team Leader reports to the Head of / Director of Procurement BL and to the VP/Director of Regional Procurement. Key Figures: The turnover of the Bids, Projects or Products of his BL/Region he/she works for The amount of procurement The saving, coming from the suppliers, on the costs of the solutions designed The PPM Team Leader main mission is to develop and promote Thales procurement competitiveness internally as well as externally (customer, consortia, etc...). His main tasks are: • To manage a Team of PPMs based in his/her region • To ensure that all PPMs of his/her team apply procurement rules and best practices • To setup a procurement team that will provide competitiveness to the region business: by involving procurement in the early definition phase of solutions / product so that they are able to challenge the needs / requirements by bringing added value from suppliers into the solutions by securing delivery from the suppliers in terms of quality and on time delivery To coordinate with the Segment and the Region organizations on : The procurement strategies of categories that impact the BL business The resources needed to work the procurement work packages The sourcing decisions • In coordinaton with Supplier Performance and Process & tools teams, to standardize practices and tools over the group procurement • To monitor the Procurements activities on bids/projects/products and to track competitiveness performance and risks/opportunities on procurement on his/her perimeter • To contribute to the acquisition MYB of the GBU, by providing the data related to his/her perimeter • To ensure compliance with the customers contractual requirements and compliance with Thales procurement policy and with the “Manage Acquisition” process of Chorus 2. In your job you will need to be able to : Negotiate in English and Spanish (written and spoken) in complex environments (if you are not fluent in English or Spanish, you should be willing and able to learn it in a period of 6 months.) Desirable: Experience in Space field Experience with purchase processes, including contractual, supply chain and purchase knowledge International background and experience in other European countries Knowledge of international, especially European, and Spanish Space companies and organisations, both in traditional and new space markets What do we offer?
