SSP America has an immediate full-time opening for a HR Data Specialist. The HR Data Specialist will provide comprehensive administrative support with onboarding, HRIS data entry & data quality, and payroll data coordination in a team, triage environment. This position will report directly to the Manager of HR Processes.
The position will be based at our Support Center office located near One Loudoun in Ashburn, VA. You will report on a hybrid schedule, working remote biweekly Wednesday - Thursday.
The position pays $27 - $29 hourly.
Some Of The Essential Functions Include
- Perform data entry in all systems that contain employee data: 3,2,1 Forms, Micros, Hot Schedules, Vista HRMS, Academy Live, and other ancillary systems as needed
- Process pay-rate and other employee changes in HRIS and other ancillary systems
- Assist with the coordination of payroll processing, to include monthly, biweekly, and weekly pay cycles
- Process employment verification requests
- Process unemployment data requests
- Process all employee payroll election changes, to include W-4’s, direct deposit, cost center, transfers, promotions, etc.
- Process requests for initial IT needs for new field personnel
- Provide password reset assistance to employees for HRIS system & Academy Live learning system
- Assist HRIS Manager with system data-validation as needed
- Assist with the administration of the HR Inbox daily; forward items to appropriate personnel and resolve issues as applicable
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with work colleagues, officials, and outside agencies
- Other related duties as needed or as assigned by manager
- Lead by example in all HR matters and policies
- Adherence to the SSP Attendance Policy
- Ensure execution of any other HR related initiatives as directed by Manager or required by the Company
Experience/Education
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within an HR or Payroll environment
- Ability to learn company’s HRIS and other ancillary employee systems is required
- Payroll processing experience a plus
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail desired
- Ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, organization, time management, problem solving, and follow-up skills.
- Proven ability to handle conflict, work under pressure/deal with high stress situations, and resolve uncomfortable situations with clients, customers, and peers, and do so while exercising sound judgement and
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related degree, or Foreign Equivalence a plus
