Temporary Retail Assistant


Individuals will be required to work between 24 – 40 hours per week depending on shift pattern.

Candidates must be prepared to work shifts between the hours of 05:00 – 23:00 covering a shift pattern which will include weekends and bank holidays.

We are currently recruiting Retail Assistants for a variety of major providers of retail services within Heathrow Airport. The role of a Retail Assistant will be to deliver great customer service and identify customer needs and opportunities to increase shop sales.

The main duties of a Retail Assistant will include:

• Providing a high standard of customer service at all times
• Offering advice and guidance on a wide range of products which will include cosmetics and fragrances
• Answering customer queries and selling products according to need
• Providing a full range of sales support and administrative duties
• Keeping up to date of all product changes, lines and pricing
• Merchandising products in order to maximise sales
• Processing payment transactions
• Assisting with the organisation of events and promotions as and when required
• Assisting with stock takes

The essential requirements to be successful as a Retail Assistant include:

• Excellent customer service and selling skills
• Basic knowledge of well known cosmetic and fragrance brands
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work well in a team as well as using their own initiative
• A well groomed and smart appearance
• Ability to commute to and from Heathrow Airport by public transport




To be considered for this position, applicants must have experience in a similar customer service role such as, Retail Assistant, Beauty and Cosmetics Sales Assistant, Skincare Sales Assistant.

Successful applicants must be able to provide a 5 year checkable history for referencing purposes and will also be subject to the following security checks and airside clearance at their own expense:
