Description:This position manages the Air Mobility & Maritime Mission (AMMM) Software Engineering team under the AMMM portfolio.
Responsibilities Include:
- AMMM program work force management (reassignments/placements, recruitment, selection of new employees, and terminations)
- Personnel management (training, mentoring, career development, performance/compensation, and promotions)
- Management responsibility will include collaboration with AMMM Programs, Aeronautics Programs, other Business Units, and Industry. The successful candidate will be expected to support communications with all levels of employees, customers, and industry from engineers up to executives. Strong skills in conflict resolution, proactive communication, building collaborative relationships and other 'soft skills' are desired.
- Support pursuit and management of internal and customer sponsored technology roadmaps.
- Interface with LM Aero, other business units, and external customers/suppliers to develop new technologies and transition them to LM Aero programs.
- Support technical execution and leadership of Engineering and Technology IRAD projects, including existing and future efforts.

Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree or above in a STEM field
- Experience in software engineering, or a related field
- Experience in Project Management
- Technical leadership experience with ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in software development using Agile methodology
- Experience with RTCA/DO-178B/C software development
Desired Skills:- Experience shaping and leading a diverse team in a dynamic business environment
- Experience in conflict resolution, proactive communication, and building collaborative relationships
- DevSecOps experience and knowledge
- Knowledge of Ada95, C, C++, Java, Linux, and DOORS

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
