Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creation, development, and execution of local marketing & market development activities to achieve business objectives;
- Responsible for briefing campaigns to internal teams and agencies; analyzing, providing feedback, and approving media recommendations and creative concepts; and overseeing the production of campaign materials to ensure the successful execution of campaigns;
- Monitor, analyze and report campaign performance results against targets set by the business;
- Reports to the Marketing Manager and works closely with him to align plans to the business’s goals, direction, and objectives;
- Work closely with functional support teams in PR, Digital & Brand to align campaign schedules to ensure smooth execution and consistency in communications;
- Utilise creative channels to maximize promotional opportunities for AirAsia in a cost-efficient manner to build a consistent level of “buzz” around the brand;
- Act as a Brand Ambassador for AirAsia to build awareness of AirAsia as a global brand in the Low-Cost Carrier space;
- Assist to develop efficient and intuitive marketing strategies
- Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures
- Initiate and control surveys to assess customer and merchant trends and behaviors
- Organize offline events such as workshops or focus groups for customer and merchant research
- Write copy for diverse marketing distributions where needed (press releases, website, brochures, etc.)
- Assist to produce content for campaigns distributed for various purposes (social media, promotions, EDM, etc.)
- Maintain relationships with media vendors and publishers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities
- Monitor the progress of campaigns using various metrics and submit reports of performance
- Assist with any ad-hoc day - to - day tasks as required by the team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline
- Experience within the airline, travel distribution or hospitality industries, or similar consumer goods business is ideal but not necessary.
- Passionate and creative go-getter with the ability to work independently with little supervision
- A commercial thinker with a keen sense of market & consumer trends
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand business financials
- Previous experience in managing and executing marketing campaigns, advertising campaigns, and social media with meticulous detail attention
- Ability to manage multiple projects, both tactical and strategic in nature in a fast-paced environment - achieving both time and budgetary deadlines
- A love for travel, and a keen understanding of different cultures
- Ability and willingness to work across different time zones
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with Senior Management and Senior external parties
