Position Summary
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve key strategic business problems for Hawaiian Airlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve key strategic business problems for Hawaiian Airlines
- Work closely with a broad range of functions across Hawaiian Airlines to gather data and information
- Build robust business and financial models and conduct analysis using a broad range of quantitative tools and techniques, such as trend analyses on past financial and operational performance, root cause analyses, analysis of profitability drivers, unit-cost benchmarking, etc.
- Draw out insights and recommendations from analysis including viewpoints on:
- long-term economic outlooks,
- long-term scenario modeling,
- industry and competitive analysis
- Develop business cases and test hypotheses to drive better decisions
- Prepare clear and concise presentations to deliver recommendations for senior leadership
- Support Financial Analysis Directors in the execution of strategic, high-priority, cross-functional projects
- Independently run projects or modules of larger projects
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of work experience and education
- 3 years of work experience in Finance or related role
- Strong data gathering and analysis skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
- Proficient in PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make recommendations based on data and analysis
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Enthusiam for travel and hospitality industry
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively
- Team oriented
- Well organized and able to work independently when needed
- Flexible in terms of workload and work hours
- Hawaiian Airlines is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT - regulation, 49 CFR part 40) and all applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opioids, PCP (Phencyclidine), and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into a safety-sensitive position. - In addition to routine employment eligibility verification, U.S.-based airlines must gather information to validate country of citizenship and country of birth. Upon hire, you must provide documentation proving your current country of citizenship and birthplace.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent
- Expert level knowledge in Excel, including the ability to develop complex multivariable models that may require programming in visual basic for applications
- Airline experience
- Strategic planning experience
