Temporary Catering Assistant

Individuals will be required to work between 16 – 37.5 hours per week depending on shift pattern and client needs. £10.42 – £11.60 per hour

Candidates must be prepared to work shifts between the hours of 05:00 – 21:00 covering a shift pattern which will include weekends and bank holidays.

We are currently recruiting Catering Assistants for a variety of major providers of retail services within Heathrow Airport. The role of a Catering Assistant will be to deliver great customer service and identify customer needs and opportunities to increase sales.

The main duties of a Catering Assistant will include:

• Greeting customers in a warm, welcoming manner.
• Providing menu suggestions where required.
• Being able to plate the food ordered correctly and neatly.
• Serving food and beverages in a timely manner to the correct tables.
• Preparation of Hot hand created coffees and teas.
• Processing payment transactions (cash and card)
• Clearing tables correctly
• Processing payment transactions (cash and card)cessing
• Refilling of hot and cold food counters in a timely manner
• cleaning food stations as and when required,
• Supporting other team members as and when help or support is required,

The essential requirements to be successful as a Catering Assistant include:

• Excellent customer service and upselling skills
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• The ability to work well in a team as well as using their own initiative
• A well groomed and smart appearance
• Ability to commute to and from Heathrow Airport by public transport

To be considered for this position, applicants must have experience in a similar role such as food runner, Barista, Waiter or Waitress

Successful applicants must be able to provide a 5 year checkable history for referencing purposes and will also be subject to the following security checks and airside clearance at their own expense:
