Job Description:
EMRF - Randtron, a division of L3Harris Technologies, is a leading designer, developer and manufacturer of advance military aircraft antennas and antenna systems. An Engineering Associate is responsible for supporting engineers in the design, development, and testing of prototype microwave devices and systems, ensuring that prototypes meet design specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Tests performance of complex microwave devices and systems utilizing a variety of test equipment.
- Designs, builds, maintains, and calibrates test equipment and fixtures from blueprints, schematics and/or verbal instructions.
- Identifies and isolates product malfunctions and takes corrective action involving original and creative thinking.
- Documents all set-ups and tabulation of test results.
- Based on broad practical experience, enhances existing products to achieve improved performance.
Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma plus additional training equal to two years of college education and/or a minimum three to five years of related experience. Requires advanced technical knowledge of microwave electronic principles and RF test equipment. Ability to provide practical solutions to complex theoretical problems.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion.
- Able to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, and squat.
- Able to occasionally push, and reach.
- Able to move items up to 25 pounds for distances of up to 100 feet.
- Must have good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands.
- Must have sufficient vision to see relative positions of small parts and able to discern symmetry and proper alignment.
- Based upon your job duties, and need to visit different areas within the company, you may be exposed to; fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and ACGIH exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $69,500 - $128,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
