Job Description:
This role will be reponsible for working autonomously and may act as a mentor to lower level peers providing guidance and/or making recommendations for solutions. Additionally, in this role you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, and preparing reports with recommendations to meet internal and external demands for materials and finished goods.
Essential Functions:
- Performs necessary MRP transactions to allocate complete assemblies to upper level manufacturing orders, complete reliefs of dispatched production on the operating floor, and researches production control issues
- Responsible for managing lab inventory levels of completed subassemblies, piece parts, and nonconforming material.
- Responsible for transactions of nonconforming material within our quality systems and ERP systems.
- Responsible for management of transactions supporting scrap in local ERP system.
- Responsible for shipment transactions for completed parts to our outside customers and support as needed on weekends.
- Responsible for shipments of completed goods against external sales order or customer demand.
- Problem solves and researches requirements when requested to support program and material issues.
- Sets up batches using MES and provides operator requested assistance during production with MES or transactions necessary to complete production.
- Reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are requested and audited once available to production according to schedules.
- Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
- Maintains inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experienc
- Minimum of 2 years experience using Costpoint for WIP transactions and data processing including operational experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in operational environment responsible for production control, material movement transactions, and manufacturing support
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using Costpoint and MES for WIP transactions and data processing including operational experience in a manufacturing environment. Able to communicate with a variety of levels and job functions within the organization and identified as an individual who is able to clearly communicate and problem solve.
