Position Title: Senior Buyer Onboard Experience (LSC)

Position Summary
The Onboard Experience Senior Buyer reports to the Manager Onboard Experience (Product Development) and is responsible for the procurement, forecast and planning of all products for the Onboard Experience team. The Onboard Experience includes but it is not limited to food and beverage selection, as well as other onboard products (i.e., amenity kits, headsets, pillows etc.). This position works closely with the Onboard Experience team to ensure the availability and accuracy of onboard products throughout the supply chain. The Senior Buyer executes procurement strategies, negotiates catalog pricing, and runs requests for quotes and/or proposals. The Senior Buyer is also responsible for reviewing and supporting business unit transactions to ensure accuracy and assists with resolution. This role continuously identifies cost savings and procurement efficiencies and maintains knowledge of procurement trends/best practices within the industry to support business needs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Ownership of procurement activities for all Onboard Experience products
- Creates PO’s (Purchase Orders) for all required products in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Reviews requisitions for accuracy to maximize inventory allocation
- Works with internal and external (Business Partner) systems to conduct procurement activities as required
- Evaluates business partner products based on quality, price, lead times and all other relevant factors
- Responsible for ensuring product availability throughout the supply chain
- Serves as the SME for Onboard Experience in internal projects, initiatives, meetings and external with business partners as required
- Resolves product gaps between product vendor and distributor
- Researches and provides recommendation for product substitutions
- Retains all documents to ensure the appropriate audit trail is available and all internal, external and regulatory obligations are met
- Ensures compliance with established business partner contracts or agreements
- Ownership of planning, analysis and forecasting of product inventory, usage and consumption data
- Support Senior Analysts for Mint and Core with inventory of products throughout the supply chain
- Works with Expeditors on open orders to ensure delivery requirements are met
- Support all Onboard Experience RFP’s
- Manages product catalogues with all Business Partners to ensure accuracy
- Create monthly, quarterly and annual reports for procurement activities (usage, cost, waste, etc.)
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- One (1) year of Purchasing or Supply Chain Management experience
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including financial planning, forecasting and conducting cost-benefit analysis
- Knowledge of airline and food and beverage industry
- Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization and in diverse environments
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (minimum Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
- Two (2) years’ of Purchasing or Supply Chain Management experience
- Relevant experience in aviation or a similar industry
- Experience working as a Buyer or in a procurement role
- Strong analytical and presentation skills

- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $64,000.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
