Aerotek Aviation is looking to hire an Avionics Technician to perform installations, inspections, and testing of avionics systems on corporate aircraft. This Technician will be working out of White Plains, NY and Oxford, CT.
The ideal candidate for this opening would be someone with fixed-wing avionics experience or an entry level A&P Technician.
Must Haves:
·3+ years performing avionics work or an A&P license.
·2+ years performing installations of avionics systems or an A&P license.
·Experience working to diagrams and schematics.
·Experience with communication systems, GPS, and instrumentation panels.
·Inspecting, testing, performing basic troubleshooting, repairing, removal and replacement of aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems.
·Inspects components and aircraft systems as a QI.
Additional Qualifications:
·Experience with the removal and replacement of aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems.
·Troubleshoots, repairs, test, removes and replaces complex avionics and instrument wiring and systems installed in various airframes using hand tools, test equipment, technical documents, and technical reference materials.
·Ability to have a flexible schedule to get the job done as needed (though this is a first shift job).
·Experience on corporate jets ideal/preferred but not required.
