ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Defines operational and strategic operational excellence approaches to ensure business success by developing, sustaining and continuously improving business processes and customer satisfaction.
- Collects and evaluates operational, service, and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Determines current performance, forecasts future performance and builds and manages detailed project plans to implement improvements and/or corrective actions.
- Deploys strategy across all functional areas and processes by utilizing Lean tools and Six Sigma principles.
- Collaborates with segments and/or functions to identify opportunities and influence improvement initiatives, business processes, waste reduction, training and the culture of continuous improvement.
- May analyze new business requirements and identifies and recommends the most effective approach and resolution to issues.
- Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, and compliance with procedures, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS ANDEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree Business, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Proven group facilitation and presentation skills
- Experience or knowledge in the use of accepted process improvement / lean methodologies
- Strong understanding of general business processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management
- Ability to develop rapport/credibility with diverse groups
- Ability to facilitate understanding, buy-in, and solution development
- Ability to process vague, abstract verbal and written instructions to create and evaluate processes.
- Strong MS Office skills required including Office, Visio, Excel, Word, and Access
- Must hold Six Sigma Green Belt certificate

- Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
