Analyzes broad and complex business problems/projects through the use of
sophisticated analytical computer-based models and other operations research, mathematical, and statistical methods. Provides a broad base of consulting capabilities to other areas of the company. To transform business processes through modernization of engineering and operations tools and solutions to enable global excellence. Leads the initial definition of the problem/project
to be undertaken. Designs and develops analytical models to help describe the problem. Develop plan for deployment of the solutions/models in conjunction with IT or internally built solution to enable use of the models. Performs extensive analysis of the problem, model, resources available, and alternative solutions, and recommends best solution to senior management. Guides, directs, and coordinates personnel involved in project administratively and technically. Analyzes through modeling and operations research techniques major strategic capital and operating expenditures and procedures and interprets the magnitude, consequences, trends, etc. Designs and implements major new modeling methods which have a significant impact on the
company's ability to achieve strategic objectives.
Ph.D. in Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics,
Engineering or other quantitative discipline with Ops Research Course completion plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years related experience in a quantitative field. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline with Operations research course completion plus 5 years of experience in a quantitative field, two years of which must be
in Operations Research. Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Python, Java, SAS; and one or more of the following computing environments: Linux/Unix, Windows, Cloud platforms (Azure preferred). Strong analytical, human relations and communication skills.
