Job Designation
Under minimal supervision, the Production Painter paints a variety of parts made in the production plant, while following specific customer instructions and quality control standards.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Paints a variety of parts, components or systems in support of production process
- Preps parts for application of wet and/or powder coat painting process
- Performs clean up of painting equipment and disposal of hazardous wastes per regulatory and company guidelines
- Communicates issues regarding defects or quality control problems to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- Understands and follows hazardous waste disposal regulations and procedures for safe handling of chemicals/solvents
- Maintains necessary trainings and certificates for the completion of job and in compliance with safety regulations
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
