Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Hybrid Assembler at our Chandler, AZ site. Job Summary : As an Assembler you will perform basic and routine electronic or hybrid assembly operations on components, printed circuit boards, or subassemblies in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blue prints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions. You may also be responsible for other processes related to the manufacture of electronic assemblies including, but not limited to: encapsulation (potting), conformal coating, SMT operations, and painting. The following responsibilities are typical of what this position may be required to perform, however they are not all inclusive. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of complex electronic assembly and soldering operations on low voltage, high voltage, microwave or other components or subassemblies in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blue prints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions. Perform a wide range of complex hybrid electronic assembly to include the handling of hybrid components, wire bonding, ribbon attaching, and manually attaching hybrid components (utilizing a variety of materials such as AuSi, AuSn, 1 mil gold wire, 15 mil gold ribbon, etc.) in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blue prints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions all while utilizing a microscope. Prep components prior to assembly, clean components, wire bond, seal, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assemblies. Repair/rework defective or returned assemblies and/or inspect components or final assemblies. Test/environmentally test finished assemblies. Set up and operate necessary equipment and machinery. Spray, paint, and/or mix various compounds. Observe proper health and safety procedures in handling hazardous chemicals. Identify and report to lead or supervisor any difficulty which would affect the correctness and quality of the work in process within the cell. Participate in cleaning of area and machinery and take part in team meetings for improvement. Assist in the training of inexperienced or other assemblers. Maintain charts, graphs, and special functions as required to monitor performance within a work cell. Other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 2+ years of previous experience required. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Must possess the ability to read and understand blue prints and written work instructions, plus have basic math skills and knowledge of measuring devices. May be required to pass certified soldering course or other certifications. Visual acuity must meet or be corrected to meet the soldering specification requirements. Finger dexterity (ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects) Manual dexterity (ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects) Arm-hand steadiness Component identification. Effective communication and interpersonal skills needed. Eligibility Requirement : This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered.
