As a Junior Systems Analyst – Workforce Services you will be part of a close-knit team responsible for the analysis and development of applications that optimize the planning of flight and cabin crew schedules and rosters across the Qantas Group. You’ll be working with a domain-specific language (RAVE) and Python to solve complex problems in planning and scheduling. Collaborating with internal and external partners, you will work to find optimal solutions that encompass employee agreements, compliance rules and business improvement initiatives. To join our dynamic team, you’ll have: 2-3 years of experience in either a technical or an aviation role Degree in a logical and/or analytical discipline such as Software Development, IT, Mathematics, or Aviation Knowledge of the Python programming language Knowledge of industry standards for object-oriented programming (desirable) Excellent analytical and mathematical skills Experience working in Linux (desirable) Ability to write clear and concise analysis, design and test documentation Ability to effectively communicate with peers, support groups and clients and influence outcomes Effective and succinct oral and written communication and business writing skills Ability to effectively translate complex business ideas and requirements to specifications Proven ability to work independently and be self-motivated Applications will close on the 9th of June Why Qantas?
