The purpose of this position is to effectively manage large, complex supplier procurement activities and cross-functional relationships ensuring best practice purchasing techniques are applied at all times aligned with Meggitt policies and processes.
The job holder is responsible for managing complex purchase activity of specific goods and services, ensuring objectives relating to quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness are satisfied fully meeting department goals. Job holder effectively manages multi-faceted internal and external relationships to achieve objectives and actively supports on-going strategic initiatives in line with business requirements. The job holder supports financially significant external relationships impacting critical financial, operational, and customer metrics and is responsible for ensuring proper execution of assigned procurement activities including supplier management, commercial management, order book management, and supplier performance management to meet department and company objectives and targets.
