Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Lead Program Manager for a growing Avionics program for an international customer through a new development phase and into production. The candidate will have proven experience in program management to include successful demonstration of program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Responsibilities include driving program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow. The Program Manager is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program. The candidate acts as the primary customer contact for program activities and leading program review sessions. The Program Manager establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules as well as identifies program problems and obtains solutions such as allocating resources or changing specifications. The Program Manager may be required to generate proposals for new business pursuits and participate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable coordinating multiple parallel activities with a diverse functional team.
Essential Functions:
• Lead internal program team and monitor all program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, performance requirements, schedules, and cost commitments
• Manage programs through the integration of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes and procedures
• Proposal manager for production Lots and ECPs by leading proposal effort from kickoff, cost and pricing reviews, and cost proposal submittal
• Lead or participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes
• Identify existing or potential program risks and obtain solutions such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
• Ensure that all required staffing resources are available for the program
• Participate in and contribute to internal cost, schedule, and technical reporting requirements
• Oversee the generation, quality, and timeliness of all written customer deliverables and reports
• Interact directly with and fosters an excellent working relationship with Customers
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
• Good working knowledge of EVMS
• Experience with Risk and Change Management
• Experience leading cross functional teams and interfacing with customers directly
• Experience supporting and leading proposals
• Experience with the Business Acquisition Process while working within an organization handling government contracts
