The Commercial Manager, Direct Channels works with teams across Qantas to envision, test, and optimise airline products that are exclusive to the Qantas website and App. The role collaborates across business units and leverages complex customer and commercial insights to guide the product roadmap for Qantas’ direct sales channels. Together with the Senior Manager Direct Sales Strategy & Performance, the Commercial Manager will develop strategies to target new and returning Qantas customers with tangible, high-value benefits at point-of-sale and beyond. We are looking for a resourceful and independent individual who is deeply curious about customer needs and expectations in the context of travel and aviation. This is a role for someone with great commercial instincts, confidence in calculating customer and business value, and the ability to win buy-in for their ideas from different audiences. As a member of the broader Commercial team, the Commercial Manager will model best practice approaches and standards, learning from senior leaders while coaching and developing junior team members. You’ll have: Experience in strategy development and execution Strong commercial acumen Senior stakeholder management skills with ability to influence/negotiate positive outcomes Experience in challenging and influencing decision making Demonstrated ability to collaborate, contribute and create effective teamwork across traditional organisational boundaries Advanced decision-making skills with the ability to appropriately delegate Advanced planning skills to drive business performance and manage dependencies Advanced commercial analytical skills and proven experience in commercial modelling to inform business cases and solution design Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline Why Qantas?
