Job Summary: The Manager, Sales Analytics is responsible for managing and continually improving the sales/bookings forecast and analytics process across the Aerospace & Electronics Group businesses. The Manager, Sales Analytics is also responsible for gathering, synthesizing, and developing business recommendations based on market research, data analysis and competitive intelligence and assisting the sales team in positioning the company within chosen market segments. The Manager, Sales Analytics must be a leader with superior communication, quantitative and qualitative analysis skills. This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home. Essential Functions: Manage a team of analysts covering sales planning for all A&E businesses, and provide training, mentorship, and constructive feedback. Own, establish and drive sales and demand forecasting processes and documentation. Lead Sales Planning/Forecast reviews in the creation of a consensus based unconstrained sales plan and document demand drivers and assignable causes to demand changes. Manage software tools, data visualization technology, and other communication methods to facilitate documenting and communicating demand / forecasting input and assumptions. Monitor mid-cycle demand variances and trends for solutions and market segments and provide recommendations. Customer Analysis including gathering financial data and preparing customer reports and charts. Assemble data into functional reports and monitor customer trends. Develop product and program sales profile to support Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Financial, SIOP and Master Scheduling business processes. Lead the development of the long-term strategic revenue forecast and assist the creation and maintenance of a 3 to 5-year market forecast by Solution (i.e. refine data further by aircraft type, market segment, and geographic location) Dissect and report data from industry sources including ACAS, Equity Research Reports, OEM market outlooks (i.e., delivery forecasts, aircraft order detail, competitive information) Create monthly, quarterly and annual reports, charts, and graphs to monitor demand variability and identify decision points. Incorporate market and product trends into forecast models. Measure forecast accuracy and drive continuous improvement in the process. Communicate the sales outlook to leadership, operations and finance groups in sufficient time and in sufficient detail to economically respond. Develop monthly aggregate demand plan and supporting assumptions for planning and financial forecasting. Prepare and present sales, booking, backlog and outlook at monthly solution / product line reviews. Contribute recommendations for product, sales and marketing actions based on research and competitive findings. Develop other reports as needed for executive staff. Minimum Qualifications : Experience : 5+ years of experience in demand management, sales forecasting or equivalent Knowledge : Commercial Aerospace market knowledge; Familiar with ERP software, Oracle preferred. Knowledge of data visualization tools and associated programming (i.e., Tableau, QLIK, power BI) Skills/Abilities : Leader with superior quantitative and qualitative analysis skills Demonstrated project management and reporting skills Exceptional oral and written communications skills Demonstrated advanced analytical skills Demonstrated advanced proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Access and managing big data Demonstrated proficiency with data visualization software Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and opportunities and to implement effective improvements and control plans Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build teamwork to accomplish business objectives Ability to present forecasts to all levels of management with supporting analysis Education/ Certification: Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field, MBA desired Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered.
