Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, the Manager, Volunteering & Stakeholder Engagement is responsible for elevating Air Canada & Air Canada Foundation through engaging employees and external stakeholders in our social good initiatives. As a manager of employee & stakeholder engagement, this individual will engage our internal employees as well as external stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience. The successful candidate has a deep appreciation for creating seamless experiences and moments for targeted demographics.
Volunteer Engagement:

Ownership of the Air Canada corporate employee volunteer program.

Lead and execute the development of new centralized processes for employee and retirees to represent Air Canada at events across Canada.

Developing and executing training programs to ensure a strong and consistent brand representation of employees and retirees at external events.

Identify inroads to integrate volunteer engagement within the business objectives of various departments.

Establishing the operations of a volunteer program at Air Canada (identifying needs, training requirements, and equipping employees to represent Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation at events across Canada).

Providing direction to the Community Impact Coordinator on certain programs, such as Wings of Courage and of new internal employee engagement events and initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Identify inroads to contribute to the business objectives of various departments where current working relationships exist.

Identifying key external partners/donors who support the Air Canada Foundations and develop stewardship strategies to further relationships and increase donations revenue.

Identify new opportunities with external stakeholders to collaborate and deliver on Air Canada and Air Canada Foundation objectives.

Identifying best practices across corporate foundation and community investment and providing recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications

University degree or equivalent experience

Experienced in volunteer management

Experience in events and/or event management
-
Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and interpersonal skills

Highly organized and process-efficiency oriented

Motivated by relationship management

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Flexible hours

Travel
