JOB SUMMARY
As a Configuration Analyst with Astronics you will implement and maintain the Engineering Change Notice System to include product improvements, repairs, and new product development. You will coordinate the interaction between engineering, manufacturing, field operations, and marketing to ensure appropriate changes are documented. This position can be a fully remote position. The candidate should be in the local Seattle area as office attendance may be needed occasionally.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts Configuration Management activities on a variety of product-related artifacts in the PLM tool including part identification and release, baselines, change control and status accounting functions
- Provide CM analysis and monitoring of ECOs to ensure compliance to released CM procedures related to approval, item and BOM lifecycle compliance, and CCB review
- Ensure successful data transfer of items and BOMs from the PLM to ERP system
- Provide on-time delivery of ECOs review and release to meet our internal and external customer needs
- Provide one-on-one, classroom or video training to cross-functional team members on configuration management procedures, concepts, best practices, and PLM software
- Provide cross-functional training within the CM team
- Provide input and updates for department level guidelines and procedures
- Participate, schedule and chair change control board meetings
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Associates degree or CM certification preferred or relevant job experience
- Proficiency in the duties of this role which is usually achieved with 2+ years of direct experience is required while proficiency in the duties, which is typically achieved with 5+ years of direct experience, is preferred, and may qualify you for a more senior level Configuration Analyst role which has additional essential functions to those listed above.
Experience in the following skills is required, while proficiency is preferred:
- Configuration Analyst, Configuration Management, Document Control experience
- Product-related artifact knowledge: Engineering Bills of Material (BOM)/Parts List, Drawings, Schematic, Software etc.
- Experience with PLM software, ERP and MS Word
- Experience in Aerospace, ISO 9100, or another regulated environment, preferred

For a Configuration Analyst the salary is $61,229 - $91,843 per year. For a Sr Configuration Analyst the salary is $72,746 - $109,119 per year. Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
