ResponsibilitiesThis role assists in creating a strong, internal communications strategy that both educates and promotes safety. In this role you will support management requests for information to make operation decisions, and proactively identify performance trends and offer recommendations. In addition, supports key safety initiatives while working to maintain strong partnerships across the operation. Given the breadth of the safety, the Sr. Analyst must exhibit good judgment, be a flexible, a self-starter eager to drive and support a safety promotion program.
- Assist in the development of safety promotion that seeks to: reduce employee injuries and aircraft damages; highlight safety successes and opportunities across the operation; promote Spirit’s Safety Programs.
- Assist in the communication and planning for major safety promotion efforts.
- Design, develop, edit, and distribute safety information in a visually compelling manner: e.g., leadership; via weekly reports, safety meeting minutes, industry presentations, articles, bulletins, manuals, and training.
- Collect, analyze, monitor, and report on operational safety trends based on the analysis of relevant data.
- Assist in the development of dashboards and automated reporting related to key safety performance metrics.
- Supports the oversight and maintenance of relevant Safety systems and manuals.
- Liaise with divisional leaders on key safety communication messaging.
- Assist in project managing ongoing maintenance and upgrades of key safety applications.
- Work with Safety Leadership to identify appropriate data sources, analyze data, perform trend analysis, present findings, and make recommendations in response to current safety concerns and in support of policy and process development.
- Participates in company safety working groups and industry safety summits and conferences.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs, or technical developments).
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Technical, Safety, or Aviation related field).
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Ability to use technology, detail oriented and physical stamina.Data science experience preferred.
- Experience with Python preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI software.
- Coordinate comprehensive safety reviews and training programs, which cover employee testing, occupational safety, accident investigation and prevention.
- Provided data analysis to senior leadership that drives effective decision-making.

- Experience interfacing with various levels of employees and management as well as with outside agencies
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to write about complicated subjects in a clear and engaging way to draw people in, educate them and help them take action.
- Ability to support in organizing, managing projects, and workflow.
- Ability to apply Spirit’s brand standards and strategic communications planning techniques.
- Domestic & International travel under 10% of time.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
