Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Preston – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £38,000-£48,000 DOE

What You’ll Be Doing

• Stakeholder management and engagement
• Assisting business functions to develop Business Process Models, ensuring alignment of business & information system solutions
• Development, documentation and configuration control of Business Requirements using use case scenarios, working with the business and functions to ensure alignment to business processes and operations
• Analysis and determination of User Requirements Specifications, working closely with business functions to ensure that all requirements are clearly and fully documented
• Translation of business knowledge into workable specifications and communication of these specifications to the technical team members
• Development and documentation of Acceptance Test Criteria, working with functional representatives to ensure that detailed use case scenarios are documented, and leading the customer acceptance activities to ensure that test criteria are defined and met
  
  

Essential

Your skills and experiences:

• A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
• Good facilitation skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven knowledge of Business Analysis frameworks and methodologies
• Requirements capture and management experience
• At least one of:
• Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice
• Practitioner Certificate in Requirements Engineering or equivalent
  

Desirable

• Membership of professional body (i.e. IEEE, IIBA, BCS)
• Professional Accreditation (ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis OR IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP))
• Proven Business Analysis experience at various levels
• Knowledge of Data Catalogue applications and capabilities
