Job Purpose
The fleet planning analysts are responsible for the control of the fleet plan in its different versions and the follow up and cost control of the fleet economics which are aircraft rents, rents depreciation and interest, fleet debt and fleet CAPEX. Fleet planning analyst are also following other costs such as EOL compensation and Redelivery costs.
The fleet planning analysts need to be capable to prepare business cases and economics analysis to evaluate fleet scenarios such as which aircraft extend or redeliver, terms of extensions, deliveries from market, buy or lease, …. The fleet planning analysts are key persons to support correct decisions in fleet department that could impact both the economics and the fleet size of the company.
Main Accountabilities
Fleet planning analysts are accountable for:
- The fleet plans of the company in its different versions.
- The fleet economics control and report.
- Support with business cases the fleet decisions (extensions, redeliveries, buy or lease, aircraft from market…).
- Prepare powerpoint presentations as required to report fleet plans, economics scenarios, business cases…
- Improve the tools and processes of the department.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Building, updating, and keeping records of the fleet plan in its different versions (monthly fleet chart, fleet plan of financial processes, fleet plan scenarios, long term fleet plan…).
- Carry out monthly financial closing processes and identify deviations against plan and propose measures to correct them.
- Calculate and report fleet cost to Finance Dpt in the different financing processes (financial plan, business plan, rolling forecast…). The fleet costs that are calculated in Fleet Planning are:
- Fleet Rents, Rou, Interest, Fleet Debt, Extra rents.
- Fleet CAPEX (PDPs, aircraft prices,…).
- EOL costs.
- Follow up of global Redelivery cost.
- Do business cases to support correct decisions in fleet such as extensions or redeliveries, deliveries from market vs extensions, buy vs lease, etc.
- Reporting fleet figures and economics to different areas as necessary (to administration, to finance, to IAG Fleet…).
- Support Tableau improvements – data uploading process, data preparation, creation of new dashboards…
- Perform any other responsibilities or functions that are assigned inherent to the job.

The main relationships of fleet planning analysts are: finance, administration and treasury, fleet commercial, SPM, and Operations.

- Finance or Engineering
Experience
- Relevant experience or education in cost control or finance tasks.
