Travel Coordinator, Senior (NJUS)

Purpose of Position

The Travel Coordinator, Senior’s primary function is to book travel for NetJets employees and contracted vendors in compliance with department processes, policies, service levels, and guidelines. It is the responsibility of this position to have achieved proficiency of a Travel Coordinator and demonstrate expertise in handling domestic and international airline, hotel, and ground transportation arrangements. This position communicates and collaborates effectively with peers regarding crew and administrative travel and maintains and strengthens internal and external partnership relationships. The Travel Coordinator, Senior role acts as a peer mentor, provides support in constant improvement of processes/guidelines, and acts as a Supervisor as needed when Supervisor or Travel Coordinator, Lead is not available.

Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Understand and enforce NetJets Travel Policy/ Travel Guidelines, pilot union agreements and supplier agreements.
  • Actively monitor workflow and day-to-day tasks working independently and within team environment.
  • Interpret and communicate components of the pilot labor agreement.
  • Collaborate with all business entities, especially operations teams, on proactive travel support.
  • Provide subject matter guidance / training to Travel Coordinators and/or other employees/suppliers as needed.
  • Identify and proactively resolve problems/escalations with internal and external processes and partners.
  • Independently arrange international airline/hotel arrangements in collaboration with operations while working closely with ITP and Aviation Security as applicable.
  • Monitor and assist with blocked room program
  • Manage special tasks / projects as assigned

  • Graduate of accredited travel school or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior GDS experience required in a corporate travel environment
  • Working knowledge of MS office
  • Working knowledge of IJET2 preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and in crisis situations
  • Strong sense of fiscal responsibility and budget management
  • Must cultivate a collaborative environment, building team rapport and partnerships by modeling respect, helpfulness, commitment, enthusiasm, and integrity
