Position Summary:

The mission of the Contracts Specialist is to draft, negotiate, finalize, and arrange execution of agreements for new and existing JSSI clients. This position requires exceptional skill, comprehension, and assistance in overall management of both client contracts and the process. Excellent communication, both written and oral, strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and outstanding interpersonal skills are fundamental for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate, manage, and complete contracting process:
    • Obtain necessary information from internal and external sources to prepare executable contracts.
    • Prepare contracts and ensure that the enrollment/ transfer/ renewal process is completed efficiently and accurately.
    • Prepare contract amendments and related documents.
    • Coordinate the process of transferring existing contracts, ensuring the seller is in full compliance with prior contract and the necessary paperwork has been completed.
    • Coordinate the process of renewing existing contracts, ensuring the client is in full compliance with the prior contract and the necessary paperwork has been completed.
    • Complete closeout process once a contract is executed and ensure all those impacted by the new agreement, (both internally and externally) have been informed.
    • Be skilled and knowledgeable with respect to program coverage, contract forms, and internal systems.
    • Ensure that all relevant interactions with (internal/ external) customers are tracked in Salesforce.com.
    • Run reports from Salesforce.com and analyze the data using Microsoft Excel.
    • Work closely with the Contracts Operations Manager and Contract Supervisor to update and improve form contracts.
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.

Desired Credentials:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Three years contract preparation and/or drafting experience involving complex organizations – preferably in the aviation, legal or financial services fields.
    • Ability to grasp new financial and technical concepts quickly.
    • Time management and problem-solving skills.
    • The ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
    • Superior problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills.
    • Strong reading comprehension and customer service skills.
    • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to being a supportive team member.
    • Ability to function independently and assume responsibility for successful completion of assigned tasks.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse client base.
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent computer skills (with a strong focus on Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com).
    • Must be highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
