Primary Functions:
- Bring a functional financial lens to a data analytics development pod
- Work with product owner to define functional requirements, understand the user stories, and translate to technical requirements
- Serve as connection point between product owner and the data development teams (including engineers, modelers, and developers)
- Own and develop project documentation and other project collateral to support end-users and reduction of tribal knowledge
- Recommend and implement data analytics to drive new and optimized ways to influence spend and better partner with our supported business units
- Work as a part of our governance organization to develop key documentation and
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)
- 3+ Years of Relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, statistics, mathematics, or engineering
- Keen understanding of financial processes including FP&A, Controllership, and Treasury functions
- Proficient with SQL and querying data to support finance functions
- Systems and process improvement mentality
- Strong inclination for documentation and development of project collateral
- Experience with agile project management and DataOps as a business function
- Understanding of data visualization and reporting tools and methodologies
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Embraces a people and process first approach to technology projects
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)
- Working knowledge of statistical and predictive modelling
- Understanding of end to end data projects, best practices, and analytical tools
- Experience in process design and DataOps utilizing AWS analytical tools
- Experience good software engineering techniques, e.g., Git, scrum, branching, code reviews, spikes
- Self-motivated and take pride in building great products for key stakeholders
- Resourceful in finding the data and tools you need to get the job done
