What you will be doing
You will be on a development pathway to prepare you to be a loads & aeroelastic engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:
Perform Gust Loads analysis and optimize the global design of Airbus products during the concept phases. Support product certification and the evolution of requirements in that area. Ensure we meet all the certification standards.
Support exploration phase of new aircraft design developing simulation-based data-driven machine learning models to predict the gust loads derived from different data sources.
Typical tools used are Python, Matlab, MSC.NASTRAN, ALTAIR HyperWorks, computational fluid dynamics tools solvers.
During the journey you will be involved in aircraft design and learn how to build an aeroelastic model (FEM, CFD, Flight control system) and how to perform gust loads analysis.
You will become familiar with machine learning technics helping us building a loads data driven models.
The experience could lead to overseas placements
Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotation on a different mission.
At the end of the 2 year development programme you will be fully equipped to be a key player as loads & aeroelastic engineer.
What we look for
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:
A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study - Master degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of aerospace/aeronautical/mechanical engineering, or physics
Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
You are a highly motivated, proactive and open-minded person with a great sense of initiative
Salary: €56,000 - €65,000
