Principal Engineer

Key accountabilities:
Analysis of test input documents (requirements, architecture, functional specifications, …)
Design of test cases and test data based on requirements and architectural elements.
Implementation of test scripts for test automation
Review of test input documents, test specifications, test data and test scripts
Execution and evaluation of results from test environments
Create defect reports and support tracking of progress.
Support creation and evaluation of test metrics Review of test input documents, test specifications and test reports
Design of test cases and test data according to methods defined in test plans.
Ensure tracing of test cases to requirements and architectural elements
Ensure required coverage of requirements and architectural elements.
Checking of test results for plausibility
Qualifications and Experience:
BE/ B Tech, Background in software engineering, electrical engineering or electronics with 4-6 yrs experience in Testing
ISTQB Foundation Level (or comparable; can be acquired during training phase)
Familiar with Vector Informatik tool suite, e.g. CANoe, CANalyzer, VT-Systems
Good knowledge of SiL and HiL test strategies
Good knowledge of test documentation (test plan, test report, …)
Previous experience with lifecycle tools, like PTC Integrity
Previous experience in exploratory testing and security testing
Very familiar with the entire test process and methodology for embedded devices and systems
Good knowledge about development process of embedded devices and systems
Knowledge about software and device integration strategies
Knowledge about requirements engineering, software development, test automation and continuous integration and testing.
Assertiveness, negotiating skills and analytical working methods
Experience with C and Embedded C programming
Experience with software test automation tools (e.g. Cantata)
General knowledge of test methodologies and software testing
