About the role
Our Centre of Engineering partners with the Royal New Zealand Navy to provide complete engineering, maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to the entire fleet. In this role you will be responsible for proactively delivering project support for all delivery projects across the site. This will be predominantly providing project controls and planning outputs for ship refit activities during the planning and execution phases.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning of activities across the programme to meet key dates and stakeholder expectations
- Manage the resource loading and demand plan for each project
- Monitor, assess and provide consistent “best practice” project controls and project reports
- Preparation of relevant contract documentation
- Identify, manage, and lead improvement opportunities
About you
You will have a either a relevant trade or engineering qualification or recognised project management qualification. You will bring your experience working within teams in an engineering environment that delivers engineering projects to a high standard. You are an effective communicator with strong computer skills in MS Office. Those with experience producing engineering network schedules and familiarity with MS Project and P6 Primavera will be looked upon favourably.
