The role
As a Topography & Survey Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll support the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project.
Day to day, you’ll play a vital role conducting layout surveys prior to equipment arriving on site for layout of the temporary equipment and the permanent equipment.
- Ensure all surveying activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations
- Provide input for progress reporting on surveying activities within the Erection Area
- Provide quality checks on control set ups and point accuracy
- Report any issues, concerns, or observations to the MEH Alliance Surveying Lead
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Essential experience of the Topography & Survey Engineer:
- Experience in the use of survey equipment (Total Station, digital level) and the production of survey reports.
- Conversant with all related legislation, codes, and standards.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Experience in MS Office - Excel, Word.
Qualifications for the Topography & Survey Engineer:
Surveying or Engineering qualifications or suitable experience.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
