As the Cargo Commercial Area General Manager at Etihad, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our cargo operations in your designated area. - Develop and execute a comprehensive cargo commercial strategy for the designated area, including market analysis, pricing strategies, and business development initiatives.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including new routes, partnerships, and customer segments.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key cargo customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of cargo professionals.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within the team.
- Develop and manage the cargo division's budget, tracking expenses and revenue against targets.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs within the cargo division.
- Analyze financial data and prepare regular P&L reports for senior management.
- Implement pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Monitor cargo operations to ensure efficiency, compliance with safety regulations, and on-time performance.
- Work closely with operational teams to resolve any issues and optimize processes.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience with full P&L accountability.
- Experience in leading multiple markets for a reputable Cargo Airline carrier.
- Strong presence in the North West Europe market with strong reputation with local & global accounts.
- Effective leadership; managing in-house commercial teams as well as large GSA/CSP teams.
- Excellent analytical and financial acumen.
- Knowledge of the airline industry and cargo logistics.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
