As the Simulator Maintenance Technical Officer you will be responsible for the following; maintain, modify, overhaul, calibrate, update full flight simulators and other training equipment within Simulator Facilities.
You will look after the preventative and corrective maintenance on all full flight simulators and the Emergency Procedures equipment. This role reports to the Manager Simulator Facilities.
You’ll have:
Associate Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Simulator maintenance experience desirable
Understanding of basic electronics associated with electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to service, troubleshoot and rectify electric and hydraulic motion systems
Understanding of software and associated utilities
Electrical and mechanical experience associated with Simulators and Emergency Procedures Training Equipment
Ability to maintain visual and projector systems
Computer networking skills desirable
Aircraft systems knowledge desirable
Sound written and communication skills
An SMTO Level 4 with two years’ experience in that grade and successfully completed additional Accredited Training (as defined in Exhibit C2, in proceedings before the Australian Industrial Relations Commission in 8B.3.3 Matter C No. 35070 of 1989, as varied from time to time by agreement between the parties)
