About the role 

Bring your project experience and ability to support complex maritime projects to enable the delivery of best practice outcomes within our RMP West scope of work.

 

Based onsite at Henderson, WA this role will see you provide support to the Project Manager in safely planning and delivering External Maintenance Periods (EMP) / Maintenance Windows of Opportunity (MWO) and Defect Rectification Periods (DRP).

 

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in ensuring that the technical, cost and schedule goals associated with assigned Project tasks are achieved in accordance with the contractual and business requirements and objectives.

 

About you 

As a dedicated projects professional, you will have the ability to make robust judgement decisions and effectively manage conflicting schedules and deadlines, whilst communicating effectively with all levels internal and external from the business. You will thrive in a complex setting and be able to deliver exceptional service at every interaction.

 

You will preferably have experience within the defence environment delivering sustainment activities, with knowledge of naval vessels and warship platform systems, however this is not essential.

 

To be successful ideally you will have:

 

  • Australian Citizen with active Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain)
  • Previous projects experience within the defence or marine environment
  • Qualifications in Management, Engineering or Project Management are preferred
  • AIPM Project Management Qualification (CPPP) – Certified Practicing Project Practitioner – (or ability to attain within 12 months)
  • The desire to grow your career within the project management pathway
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
  • Awareness of contracting methodologies and full project lifecycle
