Crane Aerospace & Electronics looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team at our West Caldwell, NJ location. This is a full-time position ideal for an individual ready to advance their career in a dynamic and innovative environment. As a Quality Engineer, you will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers. You will be pivotal in conducting internal audits, collecting, and analyzing production data to evaluate product quality, and driving root cause analysis to recommend corrective actions.

Core Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:

  • Support in-house audits and corrective actions in support of AS9100 certification. 
  • Drive qualification of product and process changes to ensure only the highest levels of quality are accepted.
  • Provide manufacturing support and communicate with internal disciplines ensuring product compliance.
  • Review and approve quality document changes - Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), deviations.
  • Promote and implement best practices in the assigned manufacturing area.

 

The Quality Engineer will have the below skills/qualifications:

 

  • 2+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Tech in a manufacturing setting.
  • An understanding of continuous improvement tools.
  • Some knowledge of Problem Solving, 5S, and Mistake-Proofing.
  • Education: BA or BS degree in Quality, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering – ASQC Quality Engineer Certification a plus
