Key Responsibilities

The Business Analyst – Shopping Cart and Refund Platform is a member of a focused product team that performs analysis using techniques that enable a highly iterative delivery approach of continuous requirements identification and just-in-time definition of requirements. This position requires an excellent communicator with outstanding analytical skills to collaborate with business users, technology teams, and leadership in an Agile environment.

  • Works on one or more projects both moderate to complex projects and manages projects of a limited scope
  • Requires moderate guidance to manage work and time
  • Assist in planning and design of solutions via requirements gathering
  • Translates high level requirements into detailed level requirements (user stories) to be consumed by the development teams in each sprint, while ensuring stories and features are added iteratively to the product to add overall value
  • Facilitates agile ceremonies (ie. Ideation, story mapping, planning, kickoffs, estimation sessions), clearly document, communicate and maintain requirements/user stories and solutions and associated analysis
  • Create simple workflow models and process maps based on input from multiple sources
  • Assist in facilitating meetings with Technology and Business Partners to gather needs and requirements, solutions, plans, estimates and troubleshooting
  • Analyzes data and collaborates with insights teams to ensure features are aligned with product goals/objectives and delivers the most business value.
  • Contributes to overall definition of strategy and scope, including working with business partners to understand ‘why’ we are working on something before dev begins.
  • Proactively finds opportunities across products, and digital experiences.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of IT and/or business experience, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training
  • Experience in software product management/development.
  • Knowledge of Agile development concepts (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Ability to understand, communicate and engage effectively with multiple partners and interactions.
  • Familiarity with creating business requirements documents or managing user stories and backlogs.
  • Ability to assess product/project issues and collaborate with functional leads to conduct impact assessments and recommend resolutions.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Airline experience or operations experience in a similar industry
  • Ability to develop and communicate strategic product roadmaps and project plans.
