Finance Manager - Network & Scheduling

Join our dynamic Commercial Finance team where you'll collaborate closely with Network and Scheduling teams to optimise route profitability and aircraft allocation, ensuring our industry-leading network thrives.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager for Network, you'll play a pivotal role in maximising profitability by understanding route performance drivers, supporting group markets with KPIs and financials, and participating in critical decision-making processes like the Network Development Forum.

The responsibilities include taking financial ownership of short and medium-term network events, monitoring and challenging route financial performance, and continuously improving our financial reporting capabilities. Facilitating cross-functional collaboration between finance and Network, you'll act as a true business partner, providing invaluable insights to drive informed decisions and sustainable growth. What You Need To Do The Role

We are seeking a qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, adept at navigating large, complex, and preferably fast-moving entities. The ideal person will have excellent interpersonal skills, confidently engaging in challenging discussions with colleagues and the broader business.

They will demonstrate exceptional analytical abilities, proficient in extracting key insights from extensive datasets, and possess a keen attention to detail, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of tasks. The ability to summarise and communicate key issues from high volumes of data is crucial, alongside effective time management across various tasks and projects.

Providing detailed insights supporting business needs is key, with a proven track record in interpreting accounting complexities across balance sheets, cash flow, and P&L statements. Effective communication and engagement with stakeholders at all levels, both within finance and beyond, are essential.

A proactive team player with the initiative to offer solutions, coupled with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm, is desired. Proficiency in Excel, including basic macros, and experience with Planning Analytics are preferred, while strong commercial acumen and familiarity with the aviation industry are advantageous but not mandatory. Previous experience in a business partner environment within a similar EMEA or global organisation, characterised by multiple business units and a diverse workforce, is highly valued.

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK

This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
