Collins Aerospace is on the lookout for a Program Manager to join the Supply Chain team in Leighton Buzzard.

Objectives:

To be accountable for Supply Chain deliverables within any of a Program portfolio from product initiation to delivery to ensure that the organization’s objectives are met.

To participate in and manage Supply Chain projects’ portfolio to contribute to the overall improvement of the product efficiency, process effectiveness and services provided thereof. Projects could be related but not limited to ‘cost reduction’, ‘transfer of work’, ‘compliance’ and ‘process improvement’.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and provide accurate Supply Chain Health dashboard which consists of Delivery plan, Supply Chain Maturity Status, Change and Impact, Cost Adherence, Risk and Mitigation plan, Key issues, Key actions for communicating this to program stakeholders.
  • Create and ensure adherence to the supply chain execution plan, showing key Supply Chain activities as they fall in relation to the key program milestones.
  • Coordinate the procurement activities on behalf of the program and liaise with various functions which will include but not necessarily be limited to the following: Business Development, Commercial, Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Contract / Legal & Operations.
  • Ensure Supply Chain deliverables are received on time, to quality and cost to enable Program execution and financial achievement of the business case.
  • Provide clear feedback to Programs of risks, resource constraints and lead time implications.
  • Support the program being a direct customer contact in any reviews that require Supply Chain expertise.
  • Support the Program Manager in the creation of an integrated project plan and take full accountability for the Supply Chain Work Packages.
  • Actively seek opportunities to protect supply chain and supplier lead time.
  • Actively seek to influence design choices to result in reducing recurring and/or non-recurring costs.
  • Take full ownership of the Supply Chain Maturity Status, including material status for long lead items, other materials, and development test articles.
  • Proactively control cost adherence to the approved business case and provides updates as necessary during Program milestone reviews or Program / Project change impact, including Non-Recurring & Recurring costs as associated with the Supply Chain work package.
  • Manage multiple Program conflicts to ensure each Program gets the necessary support.
  • Identify and appropriately manage Supply Chain related projects’ dependencies and critical paths.
  • Work across geographical boundaries to ensure program supply chain effectiveness.
  • Create, manage, and execute project baseline alongside with a business case taking a directly active role in the realisation of the associated business case benefits.
  • Work with other functional teams as necessary to ensure that the portfolio of projects under your responsibility are resourced appropriately to achieve project deliverables to schedule & cost.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Generate a strong focus on customer relationships whilst delivering internal objectives.
  • Motivate those designated with tasks on the project portfolio to actively involve themselves in its success.
  • Oversee the implementation of communication practices that enable the effective exchange of information and ideas throughout the organization resulting in an involved and focused workforce.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Educated to HND/Degree level.
  • Experience of working within an integrated engineering/manufacturing environment to deliver projects.
  • Experience of working with internal and external customers within complex engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of inventory management processes and philosophies, including MRP & Just in Time (JIT).
  • Proven multi-tasking abilities, strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and successfully develop and execute project plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with leadership (minimum – up to 2 levels up).
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Able to work on initiative with a minimal level of supervision and intervention.
  • Willing to travel to support company objectives.
  • Excellent team working skills.
  • Experience in bids and proposals is desirable
