Lockheed Martin is seeking a battalion level motor vehicle mechanic in the Fort Moore, Georgia area. Essential duties include:
Maintenance at the organizational (-20) and intermediate (-30/40) levels as required IAW applicable TMs within 2 weeks of the due date
Complete repairs within 3 days of requirement being identified
Perform scheduled and routine unscheduled vehicle maintenance at the unit site
Replace worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; welding, sheet metal
and/or fiberglass repair; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition system IAW OEM and/or applicable TMs.
May control the issue and return of vehicles from personnel at the unit site IAW the site’s applicable regulations for release and return of vehicles.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, and follow
prescribed safety regulations
Perform shipping and receiving duties
May assist in picking-up and deliveries of parts and paperwork in a government vehicle
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to Supervisor
