Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services for American Airlines as American Eagle throughout the Midwest and East Coast, operating CRJ-200 regional jets. Our exceptional team is dedicated to making our travelers' experiences safe and pleasant.

With supervision from the Quality Manager-Regulatory Compliance, is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance. Performs Airworthiness Directive administrative tracking and control, major/repair alteration, and technical response management. Receives specification, supervises, and oversees quality of technical data input by Records Specialist – Quality Assurance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
  • Monitors Federal Register for pending rulemaking related to airworthiness directives and other regulatory notification processes. Coordinates subsequent implementation needs to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Reports, evaluates, records, and submits major repair and alteration to FAA.
  • Liaison with FAA concerning airworthiness regulation compliance issues.
  • Coordinates with aircraft lessors during periodic records audits.
  • Assists in the acceptance and delivery of newly acquired and lease return aircraft.
  • Provides training to vendors and various company departments.
  • Reviews technical response and compliance analysis associated with aircraft and parts.
  • Recommends changes to General Maintenance Manual policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Administration and control of maintenance records.

Required Competencies

  • Judgment and initiative in setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining program requirements. Suggests new policies and procedures to improve value and efficiency to department.
  • Requires high level of judgment to evaluate outcomes of audits and to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Education/Experience

Required:

  • Associate degree in aviation maintenance or engineering, or equivalent practical career experience required.
  • One to two years in airline maintenance/quality program administration environment Part 121 Air Carrier operation or a Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
