The Pratt & Whitney Operations Human Resources team is seeking a high-energy self-starter to drive key human resources initiatives and promote an inspiring culture at our newest site in Asheville, NC. In this role the HR Partner will provide HR guidance and on-site support to the team. The site includes both hourly and salary employees across Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Operational Excellence, EH&S, Materials, Digital Technology, Finance, etc. This HR Partner will also have the opportunity to participate in impactful projects for the broader HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR guidance to employees across levels and functions within the organization. Effectively build relationships and collaborate within the HR function to address concerns. Understand the total HR framework from strategy through implementation. Effectively participate in HR processes, including staffing and retention, talent development, change management, employee engagement, performance management, compensation planning and employee relations.
  • Deliver new hire orientation program and other training curriculum.
  • Partner with business leaders to build a world-class culture for the new facility. Embody, influence, and drive desired culture throughout the site. Coach managers through employee relations concerns, including compliance with policies and procedures, advising on employee concerns, conducting investigations, supporting performance management and compensation planning.
  • Support managers in attracting and retaining talent throughout a period of high growth. Partner with Talent Acquisition, Communications and Business Leaders on recruitment initiatives in the local community. Ensure effective and timely onboarding of new employees to the organization.
  • Partner with leadership to communicate and implement HR programs that support business goals and drive results. Consult with leaders and gain input on HR organizational needs.
  • Flexibility needed to work off-shifts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.A./M.S./MBA in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field is highly desirable.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, within human resources and throughout the business. Prior experience working with hourly manufacturing employees, a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, ability to craft clear communications and gain customer buy-in.
  • Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent judgment, and professional maturity.

What is my role type?

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
